Three big problems with grading questions:
- You’ll forget to do it for everybody.
- It can sound like you are brown-nosing your audience
- Used excessively, it can leave the impression that you weren’t prepared
Avoid grading questions. Instead, begin responding by featuring evidence, just as we discussed on episodes 52-58. If you didn’t hear those yet, go back and check them out, starting with episode 52.
If you’ll stop grading the questions your audience asks, you’ll appear far more credible to your audience in every interaction.
