I have a problem staff person who is not performing at the level required. When this is addressed, or trying to set up action plans to help improve performance, they causes so much drama and upset that we are concerned we’ll not manage our own emotions well enough to use the techniques that are most helpful.
The more upset someone is when you have to confront poor performance, the more important it is to keep a cool head.
