94. 4 ways to handle competing priorities

A listener emailed us saying, “What I am most struggling with is handling competing priorities with diplomacy versus frustration.”

David Allen said:

There are only two problems in life: You know what you want, and you don’t know how to get it. You don’t know what you want.

Dale Carnegie said:

Do things in the order of their importance.

  2. Place tasks in order of their importance
  3. Work the list
  4. Move things when you need to

For even more resources on how to be productive with your time, listen to Dave’s chat with David Allen on episode 184 of Coaching for Leaders.

If you’ll take the time to put things in order of their importance, you’ll never need to worry about where you’re spending your time.
