When you’re in a place where you feel like you can’t get to everything and help everybody, here are three steps to take:
- Decide for yourself what you are willing to do during this time.
- Once you’ve decided what you can do that’s extra, make that known to your employer.
- Do the best you can with the commitment you’ve made, and no more.
“I do the very best I know how—the very best I can; and I mean to keep on doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, then what is said against me won’t matter. If the end brings me out wrong, then ten angels saying I was right would make no difference.” -Abraham Lincoln
Decide how you can best help and put your full effort into that. Regardless of what happens, you’ll leave each day knowing you big the best you could with the resources you had.
